COURSE OBJECTIVES:
• To enjoy life happily with fun filled new style activities that help to maintain health also
• To adapt a few lifestyle changes that will prevent many health disorders
• To be cool and handbill every emotion very smoothly in every walk of life
• To learn to eat cost effective but healthy foods that are rich in essential nutrients
• To develop immunity naturally that will improve resistance against many health disorders

HEALTH AND ITS IMPORTANCE

Secrets of traditional healthy living - Traditional Diet and Nutrition - Regimen of Personal and Social Hygiene - Daily routine (Dinacharya) - Seasonal regimens (Ritucharya) - basic sanitation and healthy living environment - Sadvritta (good conduct) - for conducive social life. Principles of Siddha & Ayurveda systems - Macrocosm and Microcosm theory - Pancheekarana Theory / (Five Element Theory) 96 fundamental Principles - Uyir Thathukkal (Tri-Dosha Theory) - Udal Thathukkal Prevention of illness with our traditional system of medicine Primary Prevention - To decrease the number of new cases of a disorder or illness - Health promotion/education, and - Specific protective measures - Secondary Prevention - To lower the rate of established cases of a disorder or illness in the population (prevalence) - Tertiary Prevention - To decrease the amount of disability associated with an existing disorder.
